In Grobiņa, by the Ālande River, lies one of the most significant Viking settlement centers on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, which nowadays is included as an archaeological ensemble in Latvia's national list of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The project explores a strategy for creating recreational and educational functions along the banks of the Ālande River in the city of Grobiņa. Within this framework, a conceptual basis for the further development planning of the Ālande River Park has been established.
