The building is designed to allow its residents to enjoy the untouched nature surrounding it. The placement and narrow, elongated shape of the house are determined by the desire to preserve a spacious yard on the southern side, as well as the setbacks from the river and the road. Large windows provide views from the rooms towards the river and the forest.
The opening in the central part creates a sense of spaciousness. To achieve harmony with the surrounding environment, natural materials are used—wooden structures, wooden facade and interior finishes, linseed oil paints, wood fiber insulation, clay plaster, and natural linoleum. The interior design is influenced by the philosophy of wabi-sabi.
